Pilgrim’s Pride is building a feed mill in Natchitoches, LA. The new mill features 35,000-bushel-per-hour corn receiving, 280-ton-per-hour ingredient receiving, one current and one future 70-ton-per-hour grinding system and an 8-ton batching and mixing system.

Protient Inc., a division of ABF Ingredients, completed a $4.5 million expansion at its Norfolk, NE, plant. The new capacity was added so the company can manufacture milk protein isolates.

Marich Confectionery recently added 20,000 ft. of storage space to its’ Hollister, CA-based headquarters. The facility, which includes manufacturing, packaging, warehousing and administrative offices, now totals 75,000 sq. ft.

McCain Foods plans to rebuild its potato processing facility in Florenceville, NB. The current two-line operation will be transitioned to a single line early this year, while a new, state-of-the-art processing line is built.
