The new QFP 100-Liter 600 horizontal high-pressure processing (HPP) system is designed to make advanced food safety technology more affordable for small and mid-range processors. Its smaller footprint is suitable for small and medium-volume or seasonal processors that want to add a layer of food safety protection, extend shelf-life of products, or forego the use of preservatives. The 12.1-in.-diameter vessel, into which product is loaded, affords efficiency and accommodates various shaped packages, including bottles and cups. It can achieve production rates of up to 28,000 lb. per 20-hour workday.
