Extru-Tech’s new Product Densification Unit (PDU) is designed to take expanded extrudate from a cooking extruder and increase the bulk density up to 720 kg/m/3. According to the manufacturer, the PDU eliminates the need to reconfigure the barrel assembly for sinking feed production.
Extru-Tech’s new Product Densification Unit (PDU) is designed to take expanded extrudate from a cooking extruder and increase the bulk density up to 720 kg/m/3. According to the manufacturer, the PDU eliminates the need to reconfigure the barrel assembly for sinking feed production.
The PDU System can increase production rates ranging up to twice that of a conventional cooking extruder utilizing a vented barrel segment, says Extru-Tech.
