Rotary batch mixer

August 1, 2008

Munson’s MX-1-SSJ miniature rotary batch mixer has an internal spray line for liquid additions, a discharge chute to direct the flow of discharged materials and an insulated, jacketed mixing drum that can be piped to an oil, steam or chiller system. It blends batches from 15-100% of its 1cu.ft.-capacity and distributes micro ingredients with 100% uniformity regardless of disparities in bulk densities, particle sizes or flow characteristics of batch ingredients. Suitable for 3-A and USDA production applications, the unit features #304 stainless steel contact surfaces, wide spacing of internal flights, continuous polished welds with 0.25-in. radii and external removal seals. Construction with exotic alloys or carbon steel and configurations with CIP vessel cleaning nozzles are available.
