Spinal cord removal tool

The Whizard TrimVac tool from Bettcher Industries uses a vacuum system to remove beef spinal canal tissue. The tool contains a circular blade that cuts and dislodges the spinal cord, while the powerful vacuum pressure operates. The trimmed product is vacuum-conveyed to a separate holding tank for proper disposal, ensuring that it does not come in contact with the carcass, worker or process floor. Bettcher says the unit reduces the risk of cross-contamination and improves work area hygiene and cleanliness.
