Trimming tool

March 1, 2007
The Model 1000 family of Whizard Series II trimmers from Bettcher are designed for precise trimming action.

The company says the tool’s large circular blades improve yields, product appearance and product margins. They are suitable for defatting beef strips and rounds, and other meat processing applications such as ham and pork loin deffating, facing bellies, trimming jowls, pork skin patching and salmon slicing. The trimmers incorporate captive hex-head housing screws provide faster, easier removal and reinstallation of the blade housing and blades. An enhanced gear-mesh design contributes to smoother blade operation while better proximity to the built-in steeling device button makes precision steeling of blades faster and more comfortable, says the company.
