Ultrasonic atomization

January 1, 2009

Sono-Tek’s ultrasonic spraying technology is suitable for applications where nano to micron thickness layers, validated uniformity and accurate dosing are required. The technology reduces bounce back of liquid from the target; ultrasonic nozzles resist clogging. Ultrasonic spraying can be used for coating: baked goods with antimicrobials, nutriceuticals, glazes, spices and flavors; pan release compounds for baked goods; frozen meals with flavored oils, herbal extracts and spice solutions; fresh-cut produce with shelf life and texture-enhancing compounds; snacks with moisture- and oxygen-barrier coatings; and refrigerated dairy and prepared ready-to-eat salads with natural antimicrobial solutions.
