Pepsi ditches aspartame in Diet Pepsi

The company made the decision to alter its traditional formula in response to growing consumer concerns regarding the safety of the sweetener.

 Beginning in August, Diet Pepsi, Caffeine Free Diet Pepsi and Wild Cherry Diet Pepsi in the US will be sweetened with a blend of sucralose and acesulfame potassium.
