Jointly organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and Asian Exhibition Services, Bevtec Asia 2015 is a biennial exhibition for international and regional manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, technology and materials for breweries, distilleries and wineries as well as the soft drinks, fruit juice, mineral water and dairy industries. It is supported by the Ministry of Industry, the Food Science and Technology Association of Thailand and Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, organiser of interpack, the world’s leading processes and packaging international trade fair.
“As Thailand rises in prominence as a regional hub for Asia’s food and beverage manufacturing, processing and packaging sectors, Bangkok is an ideal location to stage this dedicated trade exhibition which will not only attract industry movers and shakers as well as trade professionals from Southeast Asia but also from Japan, South Korea, India, Australia and the Middle East,” says Gernot Ringling, Managing Director of Messe Düsseldorf Asia.
He adds “Coupled with a comprehensive marketing and publicity plan, the collaboration with established local industry partners and associations and our strong network of international representatives will ensure that Bevtec Asia 2014 is a success for the exhibiting companies and visitors from the drinks manufacturing industry.”
With Thailand being one the world’s largest exporters of canned fruit juice and concentrates, the outlook for Thailand’s soft drinks sector is also promising. It plays a highly important role in Thailand’s beverage production and export markets which have seen significant growth in the health, sports, tea, fruit juice, yogurt and non-alcoholic beverage sectors in the recent years. With an annual production of more than 2,000 million litres of beer with major locally produced brands including Singha, Heineken, Chang, San Miguel, Asahi, Tiger, Federbrau, Leo, Cheers and Phuket Beer, Thailand is a perfect venue to hold Southeast Asia’s inaugural drink manufacturing event.
“Investment in production technology is growing at an average rate of 18% with processing equipment accounting for 60% of market value,” explains David Aitken, Managing Director of Asian Exhibition Services (AES), “and, with 70% of beverage production technology being imported there is a huge opportunity for international beverage product and equipment manufacturers to develop their market share in Thailand and the region. The free trade markets of ASEAN will provide a gateway to for Bevtec Asia exhibitors to expand into the growth markets of Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia and the emerging neighbouring markets of Cambodia and Burma.”
Bevtec Asia 2015 will be held from 6-8 May at BITEC international exhibition centre with direct access to downtown Bangkok via the new BTS skytrain link and by expressway to the international airport. For more information contact press@aesexhibitions.com
