In just over a month since the company’s merger, the Kraft Heinz Company announced it will slash 2,500 jobs in the US and Canada in an effort to cut costs, according to the Associated Press.
Company representatives said all jobs to be cut are salaried and do not involve any factory workers. About 700 of the jobs cut will be from Northfield, IL where Kraft was headquartered, according to reports. The company employs about 46,600 people.
