Making quick work of the question “what’s for dinner,” home meal kit delivery services are on the rise in the US in part because of their convenience that removes the burden of meal planning and shopping.
According to a new report from market researcher Packaged Facts, these meal kit delivery services are exploiting a niche in the market that bridges a space between takeout and home cooking. Researchers project these services will generate approximately $1.5 billion in sales in 2016 and will grow to a multi-billion market over the next five years.
