Frito-Lay is issuing a voluntary recall of select Rold Gold twists, thins, sticks and Honey Wheat Braided pretzels because the snacks may contain peanut residue.
The recall was initiated when Frito-Lay’s flour supplier Grain Craft issued its own recall after samples of its flour tested positive for peanut residue. The recalled flour is the same used by Hostess Brands, LLC which forced the company to recall more than 700,000 cased of snack cakes and doughnuts. Frito-Lay says the affected Rold Gold packages are sold in retail stores and via foodservice and vending customers throughout the United States, and have “guaranteed fresh” dates ranging from June 28 to Aug. 23.
