The SPX MBE Series MagMixer hygienic magnetic mixer has no shaft penetrating the tank and no mechanical seals. The 3-blade hybrid axial/radial impellers in an open construction contain magnets to produce high levels of torque capacity, while magnetic lifting of the impellers enables the mixer to continue to run until the mixing vessel is completely empty. Controlled by a variable frequency drive, the mixer covers a power range of 0.09 to 7.5kW with operating speeds between 200 and 1,000 rpm. A range of options is available, including different types of bearings, O-rings and body materials.
