Ramen maker Maruchan Virginia, a subsidiary of Tokyo-based Toyo Suisan Kaisha Ltd., has broken ground on a manufacturing expansion on its Chesterfield, Va. campus.
The "Soup Room Expansion" will be a highly automated, 60,000-square-foot facility with two-story mezzanine floors. The new facility will be used for production of packaging of flavor packets for the company's ramen noodles projects.
