PET with UV protection

A polyester polymer designed to protect packaged food and beverages against ultraviolet rays, Invista’s Polyclear Protect PET 2201U has thermal stability for heat-set, hot-fit and pasteurized applications. It eliminates the need for machine-side mixing; the UV protection is embedded directly into the PET polymer to eliminate production variability and help the product to retain its functional characteristics during the bottle-making process. It complies with the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act for certain food contact applications and can be reclaimed in PET recycling chains.
