Threadlocking adhesives
September 1, 2008
Designed for use on threaded assemblies continuously exposed to extreme temperatures, Henkel’s Loctite 2422 and Loctite 2620 anaerobic threadlocking adhesives withstand heat and stress to 650°F. Loctite 2422 is a medium-strength threadlocker for applications where disassembly with hand tools is required. High-strength Loctite 2620 requires short-term exposure to temperatures over 650°F to remove the nut and bolt with hand tools. Anaerobic pastes that solidify when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, both adhesives prevent loosening from shock and vibration. They are available in syringe packages.
