Used in loss-in-weight feeding applications, K-Tron’s ActiFlow Smart Bulk Solids activator prevents bridging and rat-holing of cohesive bulk materials in stainless steel hoppers. A non-product contact device, it consists of a vibratory drive and intelligent control unit. The activator eliminates the need for mechanical agitators with secondary motors and gear boxes, flexible side wall agitation devices and aeration pads in applications involving difficult flowing materials.
