Direct-drive component

The Weiss HP70 60mm-wide pick-and-place direct-drive component achieves over 100 cycles/min. with a repeat accuracy of 0.01mm. The 2 linear motor axes feature a “knuckle” design on the y/z axis that virtually eliminates the need for a linear motor on the z axis; the 2 horizontal axes with a 125, 225, or 325mm stroke length are arranged in parallel above each another and connected via a kinematic unit for a vertical stroke of 70mm. The unit brakes on only 1 axis when transitioning from full-speed horizontal movement to vertical movement.
