The Gericke “cone nibbler” uses a combination of compression, impact and shear forces to reduce material to very fine particles. Material spends little time in the grinding zone, generating very low temperatures. The nibbler can be used for heat-sensitive, moist materials in food applications in throughputs up to 7,000 lb./hr. Hole patterns, shapes and screen sizes ranging from 12 mm to 150 microns are available.
