Chocolate biscuits recalled due to undeclared peanuts

Product was sold nationwide and in Canada

March 2, 2018

LOTTE International is recalling 1.48-ounce packages of chocolate biscuits due to undeclared peanuts.

The products were manufactured by LOTTE Confectionery Co. Ltd. Korea in 42-, 95- and 168-gram sizes. The undeclared peanuts were discovered by lab testing and production has been suspended to resolve the problem.

The Kancho Choco Biscuit packages were distributed in the United States and Canada, mostly in ethnic retail and online stores. The products were in plastic wrapped packages within a paper carton package marked with UPC Code 8801062 144815 on the side.

Consumers who purchased the product are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions can contact the company at 213-688-8806, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
