Sterling Systems & Controls customized manual hand-add and automatic batching control systems include tracking and traceability based on customer requirements. To utilize these capabilities, operators must enter a valid lot number, by scanning a barcode, through manual data entry or via RFID, before the system will proceed. The system includes an ingredient lot table that contains records for the unique lot number of each ingredient. New records are added to the table when an ingredient is received. A variety of inventory strategies are available, including FIFO.
