The Macrowave pasteurization system uses a high-frequency electric field to control pathogens. Material is conveyed through a high-frequency electrode array where alternating electrical energy causes material to heat rapidly and uniformly throughout the product thickness. The system operates at 40 MHz to optimize depth and uniformity of heating, and runs “instant-on, instant-off” to use energy only during the treatment process.
