Controls and Automation Manager; Diageo North America

Lance Musson, Controls and Automation Manager for Diageo North America’s central engineering team has spent the last 18 years working in the field of Electrical Automation and controls. His project related work has exposed him to many platforms from panel design, developing documentation, writing and commissioning PLC code for control in PLC5, SLC505, Logix5000, Modicon, Mitsubishi, SIEMENS, and creating/modifying HMI’s for FTlview, Quick Panel, SIEMENS. He also learned to write code in the KRC language for Kuka Robotics. Lance has spent his career doing project related work that took, him through aluminum and steel cans, plastics, injection molding, food and beverage in the coffee, condiments, meat, flavors, and alcohol industries. He also spent 3 of those years of managing and executing projects in offshore oil off Long Beach, California. Lance Musson is most recently an active leader and member of the central project engineering team for the Diageo Bulleit Distillery in Lebanon, Ky. Lance’s role in Lebanon has been focused on automation design and implementation to deliver Diageo’s standards and vision for the newest and most automated distillery for Diageo in North America.
