Scott Cowger’s family includes his wife, Lorri; children: Jordan, 23 and Tyson, 21. He holds a B.S. degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Missouri-Columbia and current serves as a mentor and guest lecturer for undergraduate students in the MU College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. Scott worked for Custom Industries for the first 7-1/2 years of his career working in R&D, VP Canadian Operations and a Regional Sales Position. July of 2000, Scott started his career at CII as Director of Product Development and Director of Technical Sales. After serving a number of years as VP Sales Key Accounts, Scott Cowger was promoted to VP National Sales Manager in July 2015. CII is the “Premier Inclusion Supplier” in the US food industry and the last several years has added additional production lines and started manufacturing crisps and Texturized Plant Proteins (TPP). CII has put a lot of focus in the area of TPP adding capacity and expertise in this area, with a main focus on Pea, Wheat, Chickpea, Fava and other specialty plant proteins. CII will open a new facility in the Spring of 2022 with a focus on cluster and granola development and production.
