Joe Machetta has been with JBS USA for 10 years, serving in a variety of operations and engineering roles since joining Plumrose USA in 2014. Joe, a native of the central Missouri area, received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Missouri – Columbia in 1990, and his Master’s in Business Administration from William Woods University in 2002. He began his engineering career in the Pulp & Paper industry with International Paper Company in 1990. He entered the food industry in 2000 with Kraft Foods, first working in the Oscar Mayer business unit and then transferring to the Post Cereal business unit in 2005. He then joined Sara Lee in the bakery business in 2008 and transferred to the Sara Lee/Hillshire Brand’s sliced meat plant in 2011. Throughout his career, Joe has held positions within operations, engineering, and maintenance. Overall he has helped launch two state-of-the-art facilities, completing notable upgrades and remodeling projects of two additional facilities.
