Food Engineering honors the most innovative new food or beverage plant built in North America each year. The automation strategy, processing and packaging line design, and supply chain management plan of each plant project submitted are reviewed. Entries are due December 3, 2015

Mars Chocolate

Mars Chocolate’s Topeka, KS facility was selected as the winner of Food Engineering’s 2015 Plant of the Year Award. Jeff Matis, project manager for CRB; Bret Spangler, site director for Mars Chocolate North America; and Louis Hemmelgarn, segment engineering manager for Mars Chocolate North America accepted the award at the Food Automation & Manufacturing Conference held April 12-15 in Clearwater Beach, FL.
