US manufacturing output climbs in January

Posting the biggest increase since July 2015, manufacturing in the US ticked upwards in January due in part to improved production output from the food and beverage industry.
According to the Federal Reserve, manufacturing output rose 0.5 percent last month and is up a total of 1.2 percent from the same time last year. This is the largest increase in six months after manufacturing fell throughout four of the last five months.
