Worldwide Food Expo 2005 gets supersized

Super Sessions and new educational programs beef up the biennial show.

Like many other things in the food industry, Worldwide Food Expo 2005 has been supersized thanks to the addition of several new educational programs, including six new "Super Sessions" that address topics to help attendees stay on top of emerging business developments.

Sponsored by the American Meat Institute, the International Association of Food Industry Suppliers and the International Dairy Foods Association, this year's show provides a lengthy list of additional attractions - such as the co-located Food, Dairy & Beverage Exposition and the International Meat, Poultry & Seafood Exposition - all scheduled for Chicago's McCormick Place from October 26 to 29, 2005.

Worldwide Food Expo 2005 will offer an enhanced educational program with more than 45 workshops on consumer trends, efficient plant operations, human resource issues, food safety, product development and more. A special track on how to work with retail customers featuring major retailer representatives will be presented.

Manufacturing Solutions for Continuing Education, an in-depth program for plant operations where attendees can receive continuing education credits, is also new this year. The six "Super Sessions" include Leadership in Turbulent Times, Micro Trends Matter, Connecting Brands to Evolving Consumers, The Antidote for Anti-Corporate Activism, Forecasting the Impact of Macro Trends and Demographics and Business Ethics in a Changing World.

The International Meat, Poultry & Seafood Convention and Exhibition will include exhibits focused on sanitation, food safety and packaging, as well as pavilions dedicated to product development and refrigeration and freezing. This co-located show will feature new attractions such as the Material Handling & Distribution Pavilion where attendees can see the newest technologies in robotics, containers, trucks and conveyor systems.

The Food, Dairy & Beverage Expo will allow attendees to explore what's new in product development, processing and packaging for dairy, beverage, prepared meals, condiments, grocery, frozen food, confectionery, snacks and other foods. The latest technologies from suppliers will be on display here.

Worldwide Food Expo is expected to attract 30,000 attendees from 100 countries who will be able to visit 1,200 exhibitors of equipment, packaging, ingredients and services for processors of dairy, meat, frozen food, beverage, snack foods, poultry, seafood and other foods. If that's not supersized, then what is?
