PBI-Dansensor LeakMatic II and LeakPointer II leak detection systems for Modified Atmosphere Packaging (MAP) utilize a state-of-the-art optical CO2 sensor that is not sensitive to the elevated CO2 levels often found in a MAP food production environment. Both systems use a vacuum chamber and automatic test cycle to detect CO2 leaks. The LeakMatic II fully automated, inline system designed for medium and large applications ensures the seal integrity of individual packages or entire boxes of MAP products at speeds up to 4 cycles/min. The LeakPointer II system is used offline for smaller applications of leak detection, with the full test cycle taking 15 to 30 seconds depending on the product setup.
