The CRYOMIX is a batch process for simultaneously mixing, coating and quick freezing of products, ensuring the IQF quality of the coated products. It consists of a rotating tumbler that controls the temperature of the product (by injection of liquid cryogen, either nitrogen or carbon dioxide), the mixing of the product (by means of a special baffle system), and the complete, uniform coating of IQF products by rapidly crust-freezing the sauce around them. The coating is achieved by alternating the injection of sauce and cryogen. The result is an IQF coated product that provides complete portion control. The CRYOMIX process can produce a variety of IQF coated products, including: pasta coated with cheese sauce, pailla, stir-fried begetable and meat mixtures coated with oriental sauce, and many others.
