Coors Brewing Companyplans to invest between $160 and $190 million to add brewing capacity to an existing beer packaging facility in Elkton, VA. Upon completion in early 2007, the plant will be able to brew 6 to 7 million barrels of beer annually.



An expansion that increased the production capacity for National Starch's Hi-maize resistant starch by 33 percent in its Indianapolis, IN, facility was completed in June. The second expansion this year, the project is part of a three-year, multimillion-dollar investment.

Indiana Packers Corp. will spend $70 million to expand the meat cooler and production capacity by 160,000 sq. ft. The expansion to its Delphi, IN, facility will add 269 jobs over the next two years.

A new 125,000-sq.-ft. refrigerated produce distribution warehouse constructed for Wegmans Food Markets, in Pottsville, PA, features multi-temperature zones, pressurized banana ripening rooms, double-sided shipping and receiving docks, a security building and an employee amenity building with overhead bridges leading to the warehouse and dock areas.

The Roquette Group is building a new polyol production unit in Keokuk, IA, expected to come on line in early 2005. It is also expanding capacity at its Gurnee, IL, site over the next 18 months.
