Sherwin-Williams says its Class-B rated coating system for structural and support steel meets slip coefficient performance standards for bolted connections per ASTM and AISC specifications. The system consists of an inorganic zinc-rich coating with an epoxy topcoat. The inorganic zinc, Zinc Clad II Plus Inorganic Zinc Rich Coating, is a solvent-based, three-component, inorganic ethyl silicate coating with 82% by weight of zinc dust in the dry film. It is low VOC and fast drying.
