FTNON’s product-in-crate washing machine washes crated whole heads of lettuce. Crates filled with product are either hand- or automatically fed into the washing machine, where a double stainless-steel chain transports them through the installation. Water stream injections wash product with minimal water consumption, while pulsating pressure and suction movement in the water stream remove the dirty parts between the leaves of each head. Capable of washing up to 500 crates/hour, the machine is suitable for other vegetables and herbs.
