Plant Openings and Expansions

Anheuser-Busch will invest $34 million in an upgrade of its Cartersville, GA brewery. The improvements at the 900,000-sq.-ft. plant include ingredient handling systems, tanks and eco-friendly enhancements. The company is also investing more than $7 million in its brewing facility in Baldwinsville, NY to increase canning capacity and boost production by 30 percent.

Pepperidge Farm Inc. expects to create 54 new jobs in Richmond, UT as it spends up to $45 million dollars in capital improvements and expansion to increase its Goldfish production. 

Aseptia Inc., a processor of fruits and vegetables, plans to locate a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Montgomery County, NC. The company, doing business as Wright Foods, plans to create 75 jobs and invest $10 million during the next three years. <br><br>

Purfoods will locate a new production and distribution facility in North Jackson, OH, creating 100 full-time jobs. The fresh meat delivery company produces packaged meals and provides delivery services in the US. The company is investing $1.4 million in the facility.<br><br>

MGP Ingredients plans an investment of $30 million to upgrade its facilities and equipment in Atchison, KS. The expansion will create 25 new jobs.<br><br>

Ferraro Foods, a wholesale importer and distributor of Italian foods and restaurant-related products, plans to create 23 new jobs and invest nearly $6 million during the next three years at its Mebane, NC facility.
