Used for processing non-flowing viscous mixtures, Ross double planetary mixers and discharge systems have a mixer equipped with 2 helical high-viscosity blades that rotate on their own axes, orbiting the mix vessel on a common axis. After the mixing cycle, the vessel is rolled over the discharge station. The platen is lowered hydraulically into the vessel, forcing the non-flowing material out through a valve in the vessel bottom within minutes. Designed for up to 65psi under the platen, the discharge system is activated by a self-contained hydraulic power unit. A plasma coating on the contact parts of the discharge platen allows easier product release.
