Designed for dry processing applications, Safeline’s Gravity FlowSD metal detector can detect ferrous, non-ferrous and stainless steel contaminants in high-volume, free-flowing powders and granular products. Available as a free-standing unit with a reduced footprint or as a suspended unit, it offers 4-, 6- and 8-in. infeed and discharge pipes and a high-speed reject-valve to divert contaminated products; the reject diverter can be dismantled without tools and swung open to allow cleaning of the throughput pipe and reject mechanism. The detector’s technology reduces the length needed for the infeed and allows the reject mechanism to be positioned close to the metal detector without metallic interference or false rejects.
