The International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) is accepting proposals for presentation topics and speakers at the inaugural 2017 ProFood Tech conference program through July 15.

IDFA joined forces with PMMI, the Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, and Koelnmesse last year to announce the launch of ProFood Tech—a new event that will focus on processing and production technologies serving the food and beverage industry.  ProFood Tech will make its debut April 4-6, 2017, at McCormick Place, in Chicago, IL.

“The opportunities for new ideas and breakthrough solutions are amazing when executives from related businesses come together to discuss, review and experience the innovations, products and services available today,” says Neil Moran, IDFA senior vice president of finance, administration and trade show. “IDFA is developing a blockbuster conference program that will help food industry professionals discover profitable business solutions, as well as new technologies and innovations that are abundant in the food and beverage industry.”

According to IDFA, the ProFood Tech conference program will be designed for professionals in business development, operations, plant management, engineering, research and development, quality assurance, sales, marketing and supply chain management.  It will feature renowned keynote speakers, recognized leaders in the food and beverage industry, the latest in consumer research and trends, and best practices in food processing and engineering, networking events and more.

The association is seeking proposals for speakers and topics in seven key areas: business and leadership development, consumer trends and marketing, food processing and technology, health and lifestyle, regulations and food safety, supply chain management and sustainability. The conference program will allow for a variety of presentation formats, including panel discussions, debates, town hall-type meetings and rapid-fire roundtables, among others.
