Deep Foods recalls golden raisins for undeclared sulfites
Bags containing the allergen went to stores nationwide
Deep Foods Inc. recalled Deep golden raisins in plastic bags of three sizes because they contain sulfites that weren’t listed on labels.
The Union, N.J., business distributed the raisins in clear bags to stores nationwide from November 2018 to May 2019, the company’s recall announcement sent out by the FDA says. Packages with the allergen have these UPC codes: 01143313432 for 7-ounce bags, 011433133449 for 14 ounces and 011433433457 for 28 ounces.
No illnesses were reported at the time of the recall announcement.
The Florida Department of Agriculture found sulfites in a sample of the raisins.
People can return the products to the store for a refund.
