Intended for locking and sealing food and beverage processing equipment threaded fasteners, Henkel’s Loctite 2046 medium-strength, removable, anaerobic threadlocker fully complies with the Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act and all applicable food additive regulations including 21 CFR 175.300. A 2-part, room temperature-curing adhesive, it ensures properly secured hardware. After curing, the adhesive prevents bacterial growth between fastener threads; it eliminates adhesive migration and contamination by curing at the fillet where a small amount of adhesive is exposed to the air. Suitable for use on fine and coarse threads, the high-viscosity adhesive withstands daily washdowns and temperatures up to 400°F. It requires no primer when used on stainless steel equipment and can be disassembled with standard hand tools.
