Sweco's SentryScan warning system notifies operators of poor screen performance through the use of microwave signals that detect most breaks, holes, or tears in a separator's wire mesh screens. The device emits a low-power microwave signal that is blocked by woven metal screen mesh. When a tear occurs in a screen, the receiving module detects signal changes and triggers an alert signal. The operator can choose from several signal outputs at the provided local control panel, including warning light, audible alarm, or remote signal output to a central process control system. The system can be configured to monitor one or more screen decks in Sweco separators.
