The Munson model CIM-18-S316 pin mill grinds friable powders, flakes and granules into controlled particle sizes ranging from coarse to fine. The outer and inner discs swing away from the unit on cantilevered arms, providing full access to both sides of the discs and the mill housing for cleaning and sanitizing. High-speed rotation of the inner disc accelerates bulk material entering the central inlet of the opposing stationary disc. The material passes through a path of 5 intermeshing rows of precision-machined rotating and stationary impactor pins.
