Intended for data transmissions and communication in industrial settings where high speeds are necessary for complete factory automation, MTS’s Temposonics R-Series EtherCAT sensor is a high-speed networking solution based on industrial Ethernet technology. Available for use with 1 to 5 magnets, it can be customized to document position, velocity and acceleration, and provide customer-specific smart functionality. The position resolution is accurate to 1mm, speed to 0.2mm/sec. and a sensor update time of 100ms (independent of stroke). The sensor includes a built-in nonlinearity correction option for position accuracy as low as +/0.02mm.
