B&R’s APC620 industrial PC uses a Windows XP-embedded system platform with a real-time extension. Designed for applications with a minimal operating system size, the PC has an integrated smart display link that can be used to operate a remote line with 4 displays at distances up to 160m. Intel processors from Celeron M to Pentium M 1.4 GHz provide requirement-oriented, scalable computing power. POWER-LINK and CAN, as well as an X2X remote backplane, are onboard as fieldbus interfaces. Fan-free, compact and scalable, the PC has a 256KB of battery-buffered SRAM memory.
