With five close-coupled drive options, Watson-Marlow Bredel’s 521 close-coupled (521 CC) pump’s pumphead is manufactured from polyphenylene sulfide, an engineering plastic that is impact, chemical and flame resistant. The company says the pumphead’s increased track diameter and large occlusion rollers reduce stress and increase tube life by up to 20 percent. Designed to eliminate air locks, gas build-ups, and priming difficulties, the 521 CC provides a standard of volumetric accuracy of up to +- 0.5 percent.
