Suitable for juice, beer and wine filtration; dewatering waste, DAF and other sludges from the treatment of process wastewaters; and dewatering lime-softening sludge from water treatment, Siemens’ J Press sidebar and overhead filter presses deliver high cake solids and clearer filtrate. With a rugged construction for performance under demanding applications, the presses are available in capacities from 0.1 ft3 to 900 ft3, and can be equipped with recessed chamber or diaphragm (membrane) squeeze plates. They can be configured to specific applications with various operating pressures, cake thicknesses from 20 to 50mm, various degrees of plate shifting during cake discharge and increasing degrees of automation. Their controls technology supports efficient press operations with proactive adaptation to changing slurry conditions.
