Dow Corning added 42 new fluids to its line of industrial lubricants. These new fluids last up to 10 times longer than conventional products, Dow Corning says. Being sold under the trade name Molykote, this new line of lubricants is comprised of food-grade synthetic fluids and ultra-high purity mineral oils formulated to permit longer drain intervals.
Also included in the Molykote Lubrication Management program, of which these new fluids are a part, are greases, pastes, anti-friction coatings and dispersions as well as an oil analysis service and lubrication management software. The program is designed to reduce overall maintenance costs and simplify the purchasing process, Dow Corning states.
