The Alfa Laval seal-free magnetic mixer has a strong magnetic coupling between the 8-wing impeller and driving magnets that levitates the impeller to eliminate direct contact with axial bearing surfaces and continue mixing until a tank is empty. The elevated impeller allows cleaning solution to flow freely through all surfaces, eliminating shutdowns during CIP cycles. The unit has run rates in excess of 750rpm for higher-speed mixing; it also has speeds as low as 5rpm to provide gentle agitation for sensitive products.
