Kadant’s UNiGY pump control system for high-pressure positive displacement process pumps is compatible with both clean-in-place and steam-in-place operations. It continually senses demand and manages pump speed and applied torque to satisfy variations in process demand and eliminates the need for additional feedback components. For processes where hydraulic demand is intermittent, the system slows pump speed when flow is not required and uses torque management technology to maintain desired system pressure at all flow rates. The technology can be retrofitted into existing process systems or incorporated into new installations.
