An embedded parameter chip stores pertinent mechanical and electronic motor data such as serial number, type, parameters, and manufacturer specifications, making the entire power transmission system clearly identifiable in the application program. The drive reads the motor data from the encoder and automatically determines the current control parameters for optimal control of the motor, reducing the time and resources required for manual entry of motor data during commissioning and eliminating margin for error. It also supports automatic system configuration.
