Designed to maximize the performance of the Starfish Air-Evac liner, Arena’s stainless steel Starfish top transfer pump uses product elevation technology to lift product from floor level to a hopper. Workers take the cap off the tote bag and lower the submersible pump into the product in the bag; hands do not touch the pump that comes into contact with the product. The pump simulates hand scooping rather than pulling product by suction. Attached to the top of the bag-in-box tote, the pump eliminates hoses lying on the floor near the packaging line. An optional product sensor automatically turns the pump on and off as needed, or it can be operated in continuous or full manual modes. The pump is suitable for any high-viscosity products used in dairy, beverage, dressings, condiments or confectioneries.
